The Ride with some modifications
I'm riding on a Yamaha Majesty Scooter. It's a 2005 touring scooter with a 400 cc engine. Purrs like a kitten, rides comfortably at 120 kms with 2 passengers. |
Many a folk ask what me what the difference is between riding a scooter and riding a motorcycle. Well most obviously is the automatic engine. There is no foot use. No gears, no clutch. Second most notably is the step through design for easy mounting and dismounting. There is 16 gallons of storage under the seats, more with the box on back and the saddle bags too. You can have a huge box on the back and look not too silly (unlike a Harley). My scooter is equiped with a sheep skin seat cover, a handbrake, a bicycle bell for friendly alertness, a stereo, mp3 player with waterproof speakers and there is even a place to fasten a flower to the bike. One friend summarized it well:
"the scooter allows you the fun of being outdoors with a few comforts from home." |
