A Tribute to Continuity June 29 2009
In the morning, I scanned the bike, a quick safety check. Removed a hose and wasn't sure where it goes so I checked out the personal service at Flatz Service at 246 Mountain Street in Neepawa. While his wife runs the well stocked convinience store next door, David Janzen, a Harley expert, can help just about anyone in a pinch. He popped the hose back into it's nook and sent me off towards Winnepeg where I found Yamaha Dealer and checked out the leaking drive oil. The 'Winnipeg sport and leisure Yamaha Honda' service shop got me in and out in with a mini oil change and put in a washer right away. Thank you Dave and the boys there. Browsing in their accessories department, I found and purchased a Airhawk 2 seat to cushion the contact points between me and the Majesty.
Neepawa, to Winnipeg, to Kenora
Trees appear and shadow the gusty winds. A curve in the road finally shows up after 1000 km of straight open farm fields. Ahhh, to lean into a curve again...and bless the rocks and trees for their shelter and beauty. Then water shows up. Some bad road, leading to a new new road. A little construction wait. Cross another borden and now into the biggest of the provinces. You gotta go round those Great great lakes and all the while look out for Moose. A duck flies out of the swamp and comes inches from my windshield, splashing it with its feet.
It's morning again... leaving clear skies towards the ever rainy Thunder Bay.
